
The Ministry of health have confirmed a cholera outbreak.
The cholera this time around has come with new signs among the people like abnominal crumps, fever, watery diarrhea and vomiting in Tukombo area.
In the statement that charles Mwansambo who is the health secretary in the district have indicated that currently there is 213 cases and from the samples that they corrected it has shown that its cholera.
According to Mwansambo, out of registered cases, 26 are still being treated, 179 have recovered after they have received treatment and 8 have died.
The development is coming at time healthy authorities are still struggling to defeat the outbreak which has been there in the district since march.
Mwansambo has further assured Malawians that they are putting preventing measures and they have managed to raise a treatment tent at Tukombo.
