Government has announced new pump price that shows a 10℅ decrease from the previous Petro price of K1946 to the new price of K1746. Diesel price remains the same.
The Tonse government inherited Petro price from the previous Administration at K650 and increased its price to about K2, 000 in 2 years representing 208℅. Today’s announcement of new Petro price to 1746 means that the regime has managed Petro increase by 169℅ from the previous Administration.
Beside that the government has reduced the price of petrol thousands of Malawians has shown their concerns as the don’t even know where they can assess fuel hence they are still facing with the problem of fuel scarcity.
One of the fuel attendant Jane Banda belong to Meru filling station has further added that its now three weeks while they are staying at home and she doesn’t know the future of her job which thinks that she might end up loosing a job.
“I have been at home almost three weeks now due to fuel scarcity that our company is facing and we have been told to stay at home until we will be told to return nack to work” said Banda.
Malawians have different ideas where some says that does this mean that things can start working just because the stability has been stabilized only in petrol.
Few weeks ago fuel scarcity affected several parts of the country but now a number of filling stations have fuel even though it’s not enough to meet the current demand for fuel.
